Entrepreneurs Unlocked CIC Have Signed Up To Become A Member Of The Skills Builder Partnership
This enables the people we work with to access an extensive range of skills development resources.
Enabling an individual to identify their strengths and to understand how to develop further the essential skills needed for self-employment is a key part of the organisation’s vision of Changing Futures Through Entrepreneurship.
Entrepreneurs Unlocked participants will now be able to assess and measure their progress on Listening, Speaking, Problem Solving, Creativity, Staying Positive, Aiming High, Leadership and Teamwork.
David Morgan said: “I am pleased to be able to offer such a valuable set of resources to the people we support. These essential skills are needed when setting up your own business, and they can be used in everyday life too. It is not just about the nuts and bolts of setting up, such as tax, insurance, and marketing plans. It is equally important that people understand the skills needed to navigate the highs and lows as they seek to develop their ideas and themselves.”
Tom Varley, the Lead Associate for Inclusion at Skills Builder, said: “The Skills Builder Partnership includes 600 schools and colleges, 160 impact organisations, and 100 top employers, all working collectively towards the mission that one day, everyone will build the essential skills to succeed.
“By becoming a member of the Partnership, Entrepreneurs Unlocked will be using the Skills Builder Universal Framework to support programme participants in building the skills to become their boss and lead crime-free lives. In addition, this collaboration will bring an explicit focus on essential skill development into custody-based programmes, broadening the Partnership’s reach even further to support those further from employment.”
